first off, THANK YOU STEVE for the harmony remote karma!
so last night i trekked over across town to meet up with wes to pick up steveinaz's harmony remote karma and got an added bonus to the already worthwhile trip, i got to audition some sda's! i've heard all of you ranting and raving about these mammoth speakers. okay, hearing is believing! we listened to all different types of music. everything sounded so naturally HUGE! with my setup you can still hear some serious localization. never really noticed it until i heard wes' sda's.
we popped in a few cds, i sat back and closed my eyes and the MAGIC commenced. (via the sda's, not wes) i even heard voices and instruments that shot down at me even from above. my speakers with all the processing in the world could never re-create what was going on with the sda's. ask wes, i had a big-**** kool aid smile the whole time. it takes alot to WOW someone like me, but i blurted out the word 'DAMN' on more than a few occasions.
i was hoping all the sda hype was just that, hype. not the case with these polks. they are nothing short of amazing. i picked a lousy time to sample these speakers. now i want a set and have no money. wonderful. plus i'd need separate amplification. but i'd love a setup like htrookie's. have the sda's and the 7.1 surround. it'll happen for me one day...i pray.
one last note, i got to sample burgers cooked in the 'green egg'. don't know what the 'green egg' may have added to the flavor, but they were outstanding! thanks again to wes for having me over. and BIG THANKS to steve for an OUTSTANDING karma!

i was telling wes about how i've had daydreams of coming across an estate sale where a set of sda's were available for purchase without the sellers even knowing what they have on their hands. it just looks like an old, antique speaker set. surely no one will pay top dollar for these.....yeah right! $500 out the door. that is just dreaming, of course.

Yeah, we did a pork tenderloin. I think I marinated it in some Carribean spices and seasoning for a bit.
Those burger Bill and I had lat night really hit the spot. Very juicy.
It was pretty sweet having Bill over. He defeinitely had a ****-eatin' grin going for much of the night.
Some blasting is certainly in order within a few weekends!
