I am getting ready to do this and need some help in answering a couple questions.
I identified all the components I want to change; the attached image shows them. Please make any comments or suggestions if I am missing something.
1st. Question; There are three capacitors that are different from the "normal"; These are the two big yellow (12uf each) and the small blue one that is at the top of the xover (.25uf). Is it ok to replace them with the same type as the rest? I guess this just shows my ignorance in electronics... and want to make sure I don't do something wrong; it is just weird to see those two big yellow and the blue that is in between them having the same value of 12 uF.
2nd Question: I looked in Partsconnexion.com and saw that there are several types of Solen caps; there are two (PB and PPE) that have only a small difference in price, but both are Metallized Polypropylene, 5%. PB are 400v and PPE are 630v; Which are the ones I should buy, or there is no difference?
3rd Question: how do I search for the two little silver mica things? Are these capacitors or what?
Thanks!!

Hey!
Im feeling left out...
I want a PM sent to me...
Ill even respond telling you I got it....
SDA xovers are big.- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
1. The two 12uF's are Mylar, the other is electrolytic. It's perfectly ok (prefered) to replace all with the same type, ie. metallized polypropylene.
2. They are the same except for the voltage rating, the 400v type are fine.
3. Scoll along the bottom of the page until you see silver mica. Yes, they are caps.Political Correctness'.........defined

Thanks Jesse; it's good to have you around
I hope the diagram I made helps someone in the future; it took some time for me to follow the schematic and identify everything...._________________________________________________

I'm preparing my shopping list and there's a few things I cannot find:
Solen Caps:
No 13.5; is it ok to solder a 12 and a 1.5 together?
No .25; same as above with .1 and .15? (These are the 630v; is it ok to buy only these as PPE-630v and the rest PB-400v, or better buy all of them PPE-630v to have only one type?)
Mills Resistors:
No 11.5 and 22.5 ohms Mills resistors; Is it ok to use 12 and 22 ohms?
Thanks!!_________________________________________________

For the 13.5, get the 12 and 1.5 PB. For the .25, get the .27 PPE.
For the Mills, get the 11 and a .5. For the 22.5, get the 22 and a .5.Political Correctness'.........defined
