New guy here.

Thought I'd share some pictures of the install I did in my GTI, winter of 2004.

Alpine install

Take care!

OMG you did everything so... right. I wish I had the money to not halfass stuff. Since I had to pawn everything recently because I lost my job. I am not going to start building another system until I can do things right. You did that sub enclosure absolutely perfect.

I'm happy with it. It goes very low and I've yet to hear ANY distortion from it. I dont really use it to "bump" I just try and keep it up with the mids and highs, but at 20hz you definitely feel it more than you hear it. Kind of like a bass shaker in the seat :D

I think the new type R's are a more efficient design than the type X. More SPL with less power, but for SQ the type X has the edge, although X is a hungry sub. I have around 1000 watts feeding it.

Man, that is an awesome looking install! Very clean and neat up front, and everything is displayed very nicely in the back. Looks great! And the Golf looks great from the outside, too. Just like what neo said...looks great!
