PSW 10 with Bose Acoustimas

Not sure if I've got this hooked up right so I would like some help or cornfirmation please. I've got a pioneer VSX-1015 reciever with a bose acoustimas speaker system,(bass module and three front dual cube speakers). right now i've got the sub hooked up to the sub out on the receiver. The problem is that I only get sub output it seems when I use the DVD player. Music and Sat TV don't seem to send anything to the sub. Should I use the speaker level outputs? and if so should I connect the sub before or after the bose bass module? Thanks for any info.

Im surprised you have bass at all.

Hooking up the PSW12 wont help you. It hits as low as the BM... so you will just be augmenting an already crappy signal that is extended to 250hz...

    Time to upgrade the spooks.

How about if I connect the PSW10 to the speaker B outputs?

it will be more bass, you could use the built in crossover on the sub to determine how high it will go freq wise. the BM for the bose goes to 250 as mentioned (and a key reason why it sucks/easy to localise) aaaanyway.......

dont know what your looking for here, if your going to do it, I say set the crossover on the polk sub to 50 and below only, i think that is where the bass module craps out. any higher and your asking the polk sub to do what the bass module is doing, hence, will sound like @ss. well, bose sounds like @ss across the board. especially those cubes. hate to tank your stuff like that, but it is what it is.

in terms of hooking it up to your reciever, you arent getting bass because you might have your speakers set to large on the receiver side. I figure you have it set to large because that is what you have to do with the cube set up (am I right on that?) I think you have to have the sub off too, to send the .1 signal to the accoustimass system.....ah screw it, bose aint worth the though, sorry dude, thats all I got.

sell the cubes and bm and get something else to go with the polk sub. even on a tight budget, it will be hard not to get a better sound that way than what you got now.
