Where can i find R 50?
I want to add R50 to my R30+CSi25+R15 setup as I am converting my HT from 5.1 to 7.1.
I am looking for R50 last one month and they are no where to find. I even called Polk customer support. The lady one the phone told me Fry in Oregon ordered some but when I called the store they said R50 are discontinued. I heard the same thing from my local Fry's (Renton, WA).
There are none on ebay and the only place I found one is on amazon.com reseller. But the price is too high. (225 each = 450 for pair)
Can anyone here tell me were I can find a resonably priced pair?
Thanx a lot

I am planning to build the setup pretty much like yours with one excpetion. I am planning to use Dayton Sub instead of Polk.
How do you like 635 with Polk speakers? I am still debating between 635 and 435.
Thanx

Golu,
The H/K kicks serious a**! Any H/K model will be appropriate - flip a coin!! And the Polk speakers will hold its own. As far as the sub: the PSW12 does a great job overall - music and movies; it really compliments the R-series line and the CSi3. You really FEEL the low end. The WOW factor is definitely there.
The impression one gets is the entire system works great TOGETHER. Many times in the various forums people mention that SVS or Hsu or Velodyne are known for subs; Klipsch for horn; so-and-so specializes in satellites, etc. blah, blah, blah! You also have to spend a considerable amount of money on each and hope they blend - and that's fine and dandy. I'd rather spend that kind of money on a beautiful Martin D45, or a 1957 re-issue Gold Top Gibson, or a 1964 American Fender Strat (Sunburst), all of which I own - but that's just me!
For the price, there is absolutely nothing better. I can't tell you how many times friends of mine who come over and hear my system, I tell them, "Would you believe that these are considered entry level speakers?" Then they would respond, "You're kidding, right?" Then some of them turn red-faced when they realize how much they spent on their system and it doesn't come close to sounding as good as mine!_________________________

$350 for sub is out of my budget right now and badly need a sub. Just picked up a HK AVR635 for $585 shipped from harman ebay store. I am looking at the Dayton Sub 100 and its for $125. There are some good reviews for this one too.
If you dont mind asking how much did you spent for the PSW12?
Thanx

That Dayton gets LOTS of priase over at AVS, but the 12incher gets more praise.. for only 25 bucks or so more too.. but its OOS for now... until march hehe. I also read in the big thread over there that these Dayton's outperform the JBL's too... But the Polks subs don't get much rave over there though.. something about a not so good price/performance ratio.
