i noticed alot of people placing their center channels right ontop of their tvs.
i got a pretty big tv (50 inch lcd hitachi ) is putting a big center ontop of that going to bad. vibration etc. it would be more convienent than having to build a shelf on the wall for the speaker?

If you have space under, the Polk csi3 and cs1 can be turned upside down and placed under. This would be ideal if you had space on a shelf below.

I have a CSi5 which I have sitting on top of my rear projection TV. I haven't noticed any problems with it being there. Just be sure to install the rubber feet on the bootom of the speaker where it will come in contact with the TV.
Plus the "kickstand" on the back of the CSi5 works well to keep it level.

as long as its stable where you put it, by using the rubber feet or kickstand if needed. it should be fine.

This is what I purchased to put my LSiC on top of my 50" Hitachi LCD projection screen. It works great.

Just make sure the top of you TV is strong enough to hold it up. I had mine up there for awhile (almost a year), and started noticing a sag on the top of the TV (the speaker is pretty heavy). It's on a shelf now (I was planning on putting it on one from the get go, just took a while to get to it). I don't think it does any harm, but over a bunch of years it may.
