They've been yelping off an on all night... we have a pack of them just to the south of us, and they run into an empty lot across the road quite a bit. We hear them often...

Tonight I managed to get my camera out the window, though. No picture, just sound. This is really creepy to hear at 1am during the summer when you have your windows open. Sometimes I swear they're in our yard...

It's close to, or the beginning of, their mating season. Pups are born in early April-May.

I know the feeling. We have a pine plantation and sometimes those things sound like they are talking about you. Makes you want to lock the doors and pull the shades.

Coming from the monitor, it just sounds like a bunch of dogs and puppies. However, I bet it does sound quite creepy when it's coming from just outside your window.

We get them out at our house also, frigging creepy sounding.

It's funny, there was something out last night, have no idea what it was, if I were to guess, I would say it was a werewolf, a good 300 pounder, very weird sounds.

Thats pretty funny. I heard coyotes the same night and they were as loud as anytime I can remember. It was so wild that I went back into the house to get my wife to hear the action. Of course when we got back outside there was not a sound. They were pretty far away but I don't know how far. I live in the woods near a lake and on a still cold night sound travels a very long way. Hmmm. Pa and Arkansas coyotes going wild the same night. What could it mean?!?!
