last night I was watching Troy and my center channel made a funny noise it only happened when Hector spoke in a deep voice This was the frist time that i had with my new avr (hk6350) ive seen the movie several times on my old avr (onk 600) and never heard any such noise is this a problem with th speaker, the avr, or the dvd its self.
i really don't know how to describe the noise it wasn't really a pop or crack the only thing i can compare it to is kind of like when a record player skips the cross over is set at 60hz for the center

edit: I've been reading some threads the on site about clipping I can't say I have had any experiance with this but could this have been the noise that the center was making any thoughts

Sounds like a scratch or fingerprint on the DVD.

BUT, you may want to set that crossover a little higher.

no it wasn' a skip like a scratch it was more like the tweeter was bottoming for lack of a better term and the 400i is rated to down to 50hz ,so i don't know what the deal is
