I am torn between between the Rti12 vs. Lsi15. Unfortunately, I cannot sample them for comparison where I live. My first priority is music, then HT. Using Denon avr3805. Music preferences are of bluesy rock. But would still like realism sound with impact. Please advise. Thank you.

I am in the same boat you are ,no dealer for the higher end stuff, although i can't speak for every one here most of the folks will more than likely say that the LSI line is the way to go

I'm going to be the bad guy here and say that unless you plan on upgrading to a separate amplifier in the future, neither selection would be at the top of my list. With that said, I enjoy the sound of the LSi's for music more than the RTi's. They also make wonderful home theater speakers as well.

Not the end of discussion, but it helps.
Have a good one.Tschüss

Agreed. 4 Ohm speakers literally sound like **** on Denon receivers, even the 3805. It has no current for decent speakers. The Lsi would be the better choice for music, but you would not enjoy it on a Denon. Get a decent separate amp at the same time or wait until you can afford to do both. It's too bad you can't go back and buy your receiver again. The VSX56TXi from Pioneer Elite, or the Marantz SR8500, both at $1500, have a great deal more power and sound good on 4 ohm speaker loads. For just a few hundred more you could have had a much better receiver. My experience with Denon amps on 4 ohm speakers: music sounds thing, veiled, harsh and constricted, almost like a really compressed wav file.Current System:

I always thought they sounded that way on 8 ohm speakers too...
I am going to have to agree with everything here.
You can also sell your Denon and get something from Outlaw Audio which will run the LSi line (a receiver from them - or amps or w/e)- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Yep #whatever...
That said, even on a nice 2 ch amp my reply would have to be, "Neither." I've heard/ auditioned both and neither one was to my liking.
I like my sound a little bright and more forward, so eliminates all the LSi's. And I thought the RTi12's bottom end was sloppy.
For me, the RTi10 would be my choice out of both these lines.More later,
Tour...
