Even after reading some your comments regarding Chesky Records poor shipping track record, I gave it a try......
You were RIGHT. Ordered CD's on 3 Jan, still don't have them yet. Pityful. Numerous phone calls, excuses, yada yada. My first and last order with Chesky. Next time I'll go to Mapleshade.

2. Have good customer service (support those products)

Steve,
My understanding from recent MBA graduates is that the CS is no longer stressed as a vital component. Sure its talked about and taught, but with a spin of how to do it at lowest cost, such as outsourcing phone calls to India, Asia and so on. Its about making a buck and price point.
Take a look at Wal-Mart, once a stellar CS company, now, yeesh, can't stand to even walk in the door.
Thanks for the heads up. I will cross em off my ever growing list.

RT1, most of CS depts have been "bangalored"!
Steve, I have Chesky CS on speed dial, until I got all my shipments (two years ago), and never bought from them again. Let me know if you need a name to beeatch to.I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie. -
MECA uses Checky's "Ultimate Demonstration Disk" to judge their SQ competitions and so Ive bought that. Other than that Ive not had a reason to purchase any of their stuff. Hell Id never heard of them til a couple months ago!polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

Finally got 3 Cd's.....NOT the 3 CD's I ordered, but 3 Cd's. One of them is an SACD...I don't have an SACD CDP. Wait...it gets better...
They put them in an envelope, a soft envelope. 2 cases are cracked down the center. I'm **** fumin' jack.
Never again.
On the invoice next to the items I ordered, they're circled and written next to them is "substitute with...XXXX" Who the hell said I wanted a substitute?

What a friggin' joke of a company. -
Exactly. Chesky, get out of the business; just hand the CD's out on the street. I can't imagine they have many repeat customers.
The 1 time sale methodology, gotta love it.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2 -
Damn... bought from them years ago and the only thing I could complain about was their price. CS used to be great...
Times change...More later,
