I have an older polk sub psw 140.I plan on replacing with a svs sub and thats all good. But, I have a game room that I wanted to put my old stuff in.The sub was pretty decent but the amp just went.Instead of paying another 450 to 500 for the second room, I was thinking about replacing the amp.Where can I find one. Where do I start.I asked polk and they can't help.

There are others but it's the first one that I think of.

I went there and all seemed to be bigger than the cut out

So, make a small enclosure just large enough to hold the plate amp and mount that over the existing hole.
Or, seal up the existing hole and have the plate amp external. Build it a little box. -
or just build a new sub box - its not hard - 6 pieces of wood... a port of proper diameter and length (if so equipped), some screws or brad nails, wood glue, and stain/varnish or carpet - take you a day dude. The Artist formerly known as PoweredByDodge

You could put binding post on the back of the sub, and reroute the speaker wires from the sub to them and get a mono, or bridgeale amp, and a crossover if needed
