C'mon guys...MAN UP!

We are dying for some new material here.....we have about worn old Micah out to the point he doesn't hang out with us anymore....

Seriously, I see a lot of names logged in most of the time but very few actually posting anything....C'mon guys, ask questions, make comments, whatever. There a bunch new forums, use 'em! You aren't going to get buried or whatever.....just do it.

I know a few lurkers. It is too bad they are not sharing their opinions. They have a lot to share if you could just get them to post.

Some guy named juice. Don't think I've seen him before. It's about time he posted once or twice. One of those lurkers no doubt.

    Guys,

I have logged on and read alot of reviews and opinions, it seems to me that one of the problems is that some of the people who post on these forms are turned off by some of the responses. I just read one where a guy wants to sell something and he gets ripped or made fun of. I agree that some of you sound very professional but I have also read some of your responses to post and have read the same response in a HT magazine article and you have made it your own. Now that I'm vening the biggest turn off to me was this post on the movie "Training Day" which in my opinion turned racial in it's overtones, give me your opinion based on the movie not on the color of the actors skin. That being said this is a good place to get some info for the novice(myself) HT owner. Maybe someone else feels this way maybe not, I just like to sit in front of my polks and experience a great theater like movie, sounds great.

Well, for one thing....if you read even a small percentage of the posts you will notice that a good natured ribbing has to be expected as was the case with me ribbing the gent from Turner, Maine posting that he had some stuff on ebay.

As far as plagarism goes, I dunno........I don't think that folks neccesarily trying to scam but if one were to read something that made sense somewhere else, as long as he or she wasn't trying to profit from it, what's the difference? I see it more as just an exchange of information rather than malicious intent.

Racial? I think you might be reading a little too much into it. If it were seriously racial, that thread would have been locked and deleted.

My last point and the point I was trying to make is that we need more participation from the peanut gallery. The biggest complaints are usually from those who don't participate and in my mind if you don't participate then you have no room to gripe. It's kind of like voting.

So, stick around, participate...who knows, you might just like it...

I didn't see anything either.... Perhaps crymeariverjar-jar can point it out to us...

Seriously, if you see some non-sense, or some such, point it out, the entertainment value can be staggeringly high brotha (if nothing else)...

Cheers, stick around, and get your post on.....

Entertaining for sure, but didn't get too far 'out there', seemed to stay civil.....

    Cheers,
    Russ

ps, the aforementioned 'M' word cracks me up, just the sound of it, nothing to do with the meaning...

    Russman and others,

The subject matter was Training Day, Denzel, Holly Berry, Mulato, and other things in an Oscar post. Their was a guy their who posted his opinion and alot of people got on his case, he also stated he thought some opinions were racial, so I am not crying over someone's opinion, their like as****** everybody has one. Again this shows my point, can I just have my opinion and leave it at that, brotha!

I see that the term in question was not used in a derogatory manner. I have never considered it a deragotory term. I still don't see it as having racist overtones...but I have a different point of view than others.

You are more than welcome to your opinions but I don't see what is wrong with debate either........If everyone thought the same thing, the world would be boring...

My point is, if the disenfranchised folks like yourself, participate, in the end, it's a win-win situation.

errrr.....I was talking about being disenfranchised by the forum.......

Sounds good to me, I, as Russ said, would like EVERYONE to just post. We aren't bashing you or anyone else we just want everyone to get thier post on.
