sorry after reading that just now that post made no sense, or at least the beginning. I tried the search and it just shows products that can be bi-wired. I would like to read your opinions about the subject. thanks

If the wires are connected at the same spot on the stereo, then you have basically made a bigger wire.

tommyboy, don't waste your money on more wire you cheap ****. :p

seriously, the gain (if any) is so minor it's not worth the extra cost for more speaker wires. trust me.... also, what speakers do you have?

I got my bi-wires with the purchase of my speakers. At first I thought I heard a difference but now I kinda think it was because the old speaker wires were just shabby.
Bi-amping may be worthy of the money but bi-wiring probably not.
I am not real interested in changing all my wires yet so they stay till something better comes along. Something I can afford and justify.

Thanks polk thug, just wanted to make sure everyone knows :) . anyways to answer your question danger boy i had just upgraded everything. I used to have the onkyo Hts770 home theater system but i could not take hearing everything out of a tin can anymore. I am on a tight budget so everything here is entry level but to my ears decent. I have now...

    Reciever: onkyo txsr603
    Fronts: monitor 50s
Center: CSI3 ( got it for less than $100 thats why i didn't get the cs1)
    rears: r15
    Sub: Velodyne VRP1200

and thanks to you guys, i will not bi-wire my 50s.

I have a Yamaha RX-V2600 receiver and I'm looking at geting the LSi9 5.1 speaker system (including two pairs of LSi9's, the LSi center speaker and the 505 subwoofer).

Since the Yamaha is a 7.1 receiver I'm wondering if I can use the 2 additional channels to by-amp the front pair of LSi9's?

If so, will this set-up improve the performance over a regular non by-amped configuration?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Bi-wiring is a waste of time if you ask me.
Bi-amping is an all together different animal.

No gusta. Don't bi-amp off a receiver. It just doesn't make sense considering everything shares the same power supply and is prob. not even high current.
