Newbie here:
Recently bought a pair of R30s and a CSi25 based, in part, on opinions expressed on this forum. Now I need a receiver to use with a DVD unit equiped with DD and DTS decoders and 5.1 output. Any recommendations?
Thanks, wikksmith.

Youll probably have TONS of options, unless you have other things like price range, desired features etc. that you didnt mention. Speaking vaguely any budget receiver from HK, Yamaha, Onkyo, Denon or Pioneer Elite should work quite well. Those speakers dont need a whole lot of power. Of course get as many clean watts as you can but as of right now, you dont need a ton.

    Polk RTi8 Mains
    Polk CSi5 Center
    Polk FXi3's Surround

    Upstairs R50/R15/CS1 5.1 setup w Pioneer AVR

This is HT on the cheap! I'm considering a refurbished unit, e.g., HK 130 vs Denon 682.
How much power do I need with the R30s?
How many digital inputs do I need?
    Thanks, wikksmith

Id look at circuitcity.com for the Onkyo TX-SR703. it is on sale for $200 off every once and a while. its pretty much the same as the TX-SR603, but has a bit more power, and has pre outs. I wouldn't buy a receiver without pre outs just incase you want to add a external amp later.
    Speakers: LSi9 x 2, LSic, LSiFX x 2, Velodyne HGS-15
    Amps & Power: Rockford Fosgate T8004 x 3, Cascade Audio APS-55 power supplies x 5, and 1 farad capacitor.
    Electronics: Denon 3806, Toshiba HD-A1, & Sony KDL46XBR2
Accessories: Anti-IC interconnects, 8 Mondo Traps from Realtraps, and Salamander furniture.

I would suggest amazon.com - they have the best prices for both the 603's and the 703's
