Power Outage this weekend

Just sitting watching the Steelers game this weekend and BAM!, power goes out. And I had plans for the day. The family was going to Long Island for the rest of the weekend, and I was going to hang home alone (some peace and quite). I was going to watch the Panther game, then the season premier of 24. I was also going to build a new filter system for my fish tank, play a little xbox, play some guitar, and even have a few beers. But noooooooooo. I get to sit there staring into space hoping the power comes on before the end of the 2nd game. Then hoping it would come on before the start of 24. Then hoping it would come on so I can fall asleep with the TV. But nooooooooo. I just sit there drinking beer after beer after beer after beer. Had to keep the wood burning stove hot because with no electric, no heat (and it was 15 degrees out). And with the wife out, couldnt even squeak in any darkness sex (not that I had a good chance at that anyway). And I couldnt get to sleep because I took a nap earlier. Did manage to play guitar for a couple of hours. Havent played for a long time, so that was good. But other than that, just sat and drank and drank and sat and sat and drank and drank and sat. Power finally came back on at 9am. I was hoping for peace and quite, but there was just to damn much of it.
Any ideas for what to do next time when alone in the dark?

Think about all the generators you have had a chance to buy but didn't.
Our power went out a couple of weeks ago and we all sat around in the dark realizing that there is no batteries for any of our protable radios. (other than personal radios)
It took at least a full minuite to get a working flashlight on and the whole time our kids are whining about being scared. Like the boogeyman came in at the same time the lights went out and my Rottie didn't notice.
Kids. Anyhows it was kinda cool to look outside and see total black. I live in a very unpopulated area.
As for ideas I would approach the betterhalf for that sneaky-sex.Skynut
