Experience with NHT speakers
Anyone familiar with NHT speakers? I am thinking of trying out these:

I want these primarily for good two channel sound but they will double for HT. I like the LSi9 also but would probably wait a year or two for the next round.

NHT SB3 I would look at these instead. A great bookshelf. I had the opportnity at PF04 and on a couple of other occasions to hear them. I like them a lot."Just because youre offended doesnt mean youre right." - Ricky Gervais

"Consistency requires you to be as ignorant today as you were a year ago." - Bernard Berenson -
I had a pair of 2.5's, and a pair of Sub Two's.
Why again did I sell them?Check your lips at the door woman. Shake your hips like battleships. Yeah, all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service. -
Because "(you) can't keep them all." The 2.5's not only sound good, but have plenty of eye appeal.
Also agree on the SB3, AKA the "headlock speaker", Polktoberfest demo. Very nice small model.More later,
Tour...

Those new Three's sure are purty, never heard them though.
I owned Super One's for a long while, which are a totally different beast vs. what you're looking at. The Super One's were nice speaks and never called attention to themselves in a negative way, but I moved on from them because they were a little too laid back and polite for me, and I always preferred my LS90's to the Super One's mated with a Velodyne VA-1012.5.1 and 2.0 ch Basement Media Room: Outlaw 975/Emotiva DC-1/Rotel RB-1582 MKII/Rotel RB-1552/Audiosource Amp 3/Polk LS90, CS400i, FX500i/Outlaw X-12, LFM-1/JVD DLA-HD250/Da-Lite 100" HCCV/Sony ES BDP/Sonos Connect. DC-1/RB-1582 MKII/Sonos Connect also feed Polk 7C in garage or Dayton IO655 on patio.
2.1 ch Basement Gym: Denon AVR-2807/Klipsch Forte I or NHT SB2/JBL SUB 550P x 2/Chromecast Audio.
2.0 ch Living Room: Rotel RX-1052/Emotiva DC-1/Klipsch RF-7 III/Sony ES BDP/LG 65" LED.
2.0 ch Semi-portable: Klipsch Powergate/NHT SB3/Chromecast Audio.
Kitchen: Sonos Play5. -

The Threes are not even out yet, prolly another 3 weeks or so, but the new Classic 2 are already out, and they are unequivocally better than the SB3 in every way IMO. -
I called NHT yesterday and they expect the container to arrive on February 2 and will ship to dealers very soon after that. The 4's which also look interesting, haven't even left China or wherever they are made yet.

I have the SB3's, great speaker. Although, I don't get to utilize they're full potential. I just use them right now for low-level listening in the bedroom. Maybe someday I'll have have a larger room for them.
Just for grins, I wanted to push them a little harder in my living room. I switched them with my Lsi15's. My girlfriend said the SB3's sounded less anchored to the floor (more spacious), for whatever it's worth. Maybe it's the more forward tweeter. I don't know. -
Mark, noting that the 2 doesn't approach the bass response of the SB3, what makes them better? Did you listen to them with or without a sub?Political Correctness'.........defined

I'm not a fan of an Al dome, but NHT is a respectable loudspeaker. The bookshelves solidify their reputation, the rest of the line is not very exciting.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
