well, I hope it was anyway!

Wow, what a great weekend! Had Ted in town this weekend, what a great guy! Listened to a BUNCH of tunes, ate some good food. Partied a little bit....

Dave was a noshow on Saturday but made it over yesterday for some tunes and libation as well.

I think Ted is a believer in the goodness of the AR9 and good clean vinyl. Now I've got to get busy cleaning his stack of albums!!

Awesome, sounds like a lot of members were getting together all over the country this weekend.

Well OK yes Ted a really nice guy, I think he may go postal one day but he's undercontrol 99.8% of time anyway. ;)

Knowing this as he and I have spent many hours driving here or there.

I can't see him not enjoying the tunes through the AR's. That Bartok SACD was pretty amazing.
Good to see him again plus, as usual, a great job on the food. Saturday definitely sucked for me but i'm thinkin' you guys had a good time d'town.

BTW, you'll have to remember that bottle trick when the guys come back for Pfest '06..

    hehehehehe,

Yes, as always Troy and Wendi were the ultimate hosts. Enjoyed the fine food, company and even got a hug and peck from one of CP's favorites the memorable Ms. Anna.

Have been busying the Rega for duty since I got home. BDT turned me on to some fine vintage vinyl for the Shed. Just fininshed Van Cliburn, vinyl can be pure when you take the time and effort.

As far as the tunes it was quite an enjoyable time spanning just about all the genre's. Alison Krause MFSL vinyl is a must buy for me or anyone looking to "**** their hat", with her absolute awesome voice and music. Troy also turned me on the "recipe" vinyl cleaner, looks like it might be interesting to drink but have not tried it YET. Yes, I left him a stack to clean, we had planned to do it, but just did not take the time from all the listening.

The AR-9's are impressive, excellent clarity, soundstage and especially good with depth and height. During Bartok I felt like I was seated in the pit with the orchestra around and stacked in front of me, simply said outstanding. But believe me we hit everything from the Heart ladies, to Coltrane, to BS&T to the classics. The speakers did well with anything thrown at them. Rest assured the cave rig with the 2.3 TL's is still highly capable even though the Amazings have found a new home (mine).

It was great to see Dave and we spent time listening while the garage party raged outside. Other guests just called us the "Stereo Guys".. :)

Anyway had a great time and of course its what the club is about and why its so much more than just an internet forum.

Please ... No pictures of that.

Nice to see a lot of folks getting together. Four years ago , if anyone told me I'd open my house to great friends I "met" on the internet, I'd have said they were nuts.
