Hello!

I am thinking of build a home theatre but I was never interested in audio equipment and I have no idea which components to buy. I dont need an expert system but I would like to buy something that plays good as well as looks good. I cant fit stand alone front speakers in the room because of the furniture so I have to buy small speakers but I am affraid that 5.1/6.1 systems are crap.

I saw a combined system of harman kardon AVR135 and JBL scs200.6 speakers in our store and really like the looks of it but I dont know if it is any good. The price is discounted from 820 eur to 589 eur so I guess it is good price. Please help me!! Is this combination worth to buy or do you suggest something else in this price range??

Thanks for all your answers!

I think you might have a hard time finding someone to advise you to buy JBL's over Polk's in this forum :) I like the HK receivers though, not bad. Sorry Im too lazy to do the dollar-euro conversion math right now to give you an opinion of if its a good price

I have been told on some other forum that this actually is good combo, because Harman kardon owns and produces JBL products. The price is about 700 USD.

I havent finally decided to buy this combo, that is why I posted this msg to get more info on other receivers in this price/quality range, so what other receivrs are recomended??

Hi Kebabek and welcome to Club Polk. It's not a good deal. At it's cheapest price you're still paying about 100 euro too much. You can do better, just look around.

Do you have any suggestions what kind of combo would be a good deal for about 600-700 euros?

I live in Slovenia, but I travel a lot to other European countries (Austria, Germany, Italy) so it wouldn´t be a problem for me to buy equipment in those countries if it was unavailable in Slovenia but first I need to know what to look for.
