hooking up center speaker

I just bought the Polk rm=6800. I have an older Onyko AV. The diagram shows the wires going from the center channel output on the AV directly to the center speaker. However, the center speaker is not working. So far I haven't been able to solve the problem. Any suggestions?

Try another speaker to confirm whether it is outputting anything. It could be a bad speaker, or a bad output on the reciever. Is it new or old speaker wire? Make sure there are no cuts and that each end is making good contacts.

Did you previously have a speaker connected to it? If you did, was it working then?

Connect it to a different set of terminals, either of the main speaker terminals will do. If you hear sound from it then the problem is not the speaker. It could be in the receiver, or a simple configuration adjustment via your receivers OSD.
