ribbed or smooth?

Yep, which is better and why? Ribbed or smooth cones... ?

    my wife likes ribbed, I like using smooth.lol

    It makes sense that the ribbed would have more 'reinforcement' and so would be stiffer and offer better bass performance. But it also requires more material to make a 'wavy' cone of the same diameter (and depth) as a smooth cone, so it would also be heavier.
