Hook-up & Crossover setting?

Configuration:
Fronts: Polk 7400T
Center: Polk 6902
Surrounds (side): Polk 6901 Bookshelf speakers
Surrounds (back) Polk 6801 satellites
Receiver: JVC Rx702
I have fronts wired to sub with fronts & side surrounds set to large. Receiver has setting for crossover - options are 80, 100, or 120Hz. Which setting should I choose? Also, is my hookup correct? Do I need to even connect sub to sub out from receiver? Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

If your fronts are connected to the sub and fronts set to large, the receiver xover is meaningless. It's not active for speakers set to large. The crossover sends frequencies above the crossover point any speakers set to small and the frequencies below the crossover point out the subwoofer pre-out. You have your speakers set to large and are not using the sub out so the reciever xover means nothing. You should use the crossover on the sub (if it has one) to cut off the frequencies that are below the capability of the speakers attached to it.No earth robot is going to tell ME which button to press!!

Your hookup is not wrong, however most people find using the sub pre-out and setting all speakers to small a much cleaner sound. I thing it's the more accepted way of doing things than the way you've got it hooked up but your setup is not "wrong". Try both and see what you like better. No earth robot is going to tell ME which button to press!!
