Ok heres the scoop...
02 econoline work van 4 Polk DB5250's (doors front and back)powered by an Orion 8004 4 channel amp
Because of size constraints,(I can't give up any space in the back because of My trade)I have decided to run one 12"MM2104DVC sub powered with a KX400.1 in the enclosure recommended on the Polk web site.(it will fit right between the seats :D )
I'm looking for SQ with good volumn(mostly hard rock with a little boom now and then)
The only parts that I will be using from the current system are the DB5250's
Do y'all think this system will perform??
Any changes for My choice in amps? I don't know alot about Kicker products, but I have read some good reviews...

I'm already sold on the speakers.

All opinions are welcomed...

til later...

Youll be just fine. Kicker isnt my first pick for amps but they do make solid pieces and will perform well. Take a little care with the gains tho. That amp is rated 100 watts over the 2104's power handling and Kickers, being a competition level amp, are a tad underrated on their power so be careful cause it would damage the sub. That Orion amp is a hoss and you should NEVER get rid of that one. Id love to have an 8004!

Good selection on the sub as well. Ive got a 2104 and love it and as for SQ, so far mine is undefeated in SQ competitions (a little gratuitus horn tootin' there :D ).

Other than that, youre all set. It may take some time to work the bugs out of it once youve got it up and running but once there, youll be happy.

Maybe you can look into upgrading the front speakers to the DB components someday if you feel the urge to upgrade.
