I know I heard/ read this b4 here in this forum but unable to locate it here... :(

I just want to make sure that leaving my amps & receiver to ON 24/7....will be a mortality or immortality?

Please advise...........forgive me if this thread has been posted b4.

Much respect to all.....
Godspeed,

If you have a true class A amp then I wouldn't leave it on 24/7 as most of them even at idle will consume about 250 watts from the outlet, and get hotter than hell.

What kind of amp are you running?

Leaving these amps on all the time should be just fine. I leave mine on all the time except during a thunder storm. My receiver I turn off which puts it in standby mode.
