Does anybody else frequent this site? I like the site because they have forums for different lines of equipment, but there are a lot of a$$holes on that site. Very rude.
The site is also owned by a cable company. They are so insecure about their products that they forbid the discussion of cables period. They also frequently close/lock posts if competeing brands are mentioned or if a company is mentioned that they do not like. Due to this I will never own any of their products. Reminds me of Monster.

Yeah, I probably visit that site more than any other. I only roam in the Mission Possible forum though. Everyone in that forum is pleasant, knowledgable and helpful. One of my projects is stickied there.Graham

Yea I know,there's a bunch a B&W snobs over there...Oh,hold on,I just read your signature

I do not care what gear a person has. We all started somewhere. I started with Polks and an Onkyo receiver. There is no need for snobbery. It the sound that counts.

Hey man,I was just messin' with ya...I posted there 1 time and asked about Rotel amps and Polk speakers, and got 0 feedback to my question...I still don't know why soo many look down their noses at Polk...
To me,it's all a hobby and fun... -
Hi Mike,
I know you are messin. Polk is the first system I bought when I gor into this hobby and this forum will always be my home regardless of what gear I use at the time. The people here are great.

I went there a few times. I was turned off by some of the people. I was actually considering the B&W 600 Series, but decided on the Polk RTi Series in the end.
My decision was based on sound not that board. I thought the Polk's were better suited for Home Theater and the B&W's were better matched for 2 channel music.

Hi Lou,
2 channel is the reason I switched to B&W. IMHO agood speaker is measured by its 2 channel oerformance. I think it is easier to make a speaker sound good in HT, harder for stereo. But I think that most 2 channel speakers can be made to sound excellent for HT.
The B&W's opened up the soundstage from the RT polks I had. The LSI's were not available retail when I went with B&W. -
I listened to 601's in the front with an LCR 60 and 600's in the rear.
I just thought they were too bright. not enough mid range. I could not go any bigger due to room size and WAF.
That is why I went with RTi4's and a CSi3 for my front sound stage. My current surrounds are fine for their duties. An SVS sub is next on my upgrade path, followed by a new receiver.

I visit that site. I liked the Rotel forum. Really helped out when I got my Rotel gear. Especially when figuring out how to download the software.
