Hello,
I want to install in-ceiling speakers in my new condo.
I would need 2 in-ceiling speakers for surround sound for my home theater.
And I also want to install 2 in-ceiling speakers in my kitchen for background music.
I have a SONY STR-DA2100ES receiver (110 watts x 7 into 8 ohms) that I can use for both the home theater and the kitchen (dual room).
Looks like RC60i and RC80i are good choices and they fit my budget.
However, I can't really understand the difference between these 2 models besides the size of the speaker.
Should I get the RC60i for surround sound and the RC80i for the kitchen?
Any advice is welcomed!
Thanks!

If you have the room and budget, the RC80i would be a good choice. The bigger driver on the 80 will give you a little better bass response. I know that you said they will be for background music, in which case either speaker would probably be fine, but it would be nice to have the better bass response if you wanted to turn things up a notch once in a while.HT
