Just got PWS10. Need hookup help

My receiver only has LFE out but the sub has RCA line in (Left and Right) and speaker level ins and outs. How should i hook it up? i take it i cannot use my LFE output from my receiver?

Crep, welcome. It would have been helpful if you'd identified your receiver, but the LFE output will send a signal to your PSW10 which is crossed over below the frequency(e.g. 80Hz)which you select or which the receiver is fixed at if there's no selection available. Connect a coaxial cable with an RCA connector on each end from the LFE output to either the left or right line input on the PSW10(they combine inside; it doesn't matter which one). Since the receiver will be handling the bass management, turn the crossover control on the PSW10 all the way up to get it as far out of the way as possible from the receiver crossover.

thanks for the help. i will post my reciever tonight. i know it a yamaha just dont know the model.

is there an advantage to getting a y connector and conecting both red and white together on the receiver end? or should i just connect 1 wire in?

You usually will get slightly more output. Maybe 3 db. But if you trun up the subs gain a notch, it will be the same.
