Hi all, i purchased pair of RTi10 as my main front speakers, CSi5 center & FXi3 surrounds!! It's a very nice combination i beleive!! I have an older Sub "JBL E150" which i think it's OK for now!! My question is about my Yamaha RX-V757, it should be a very nice machine for these speakers OR i should get a dedicated AMP for the RTi10s?? My room is 15x13. Appreciate your input please!!

100 watts x 7. The reviews for it have been very good. I'd say get it and add a 2 channel amp for your 10's. You should be set.

Ahmed, yes, you've bought a very nice set of speakers. Your listening room is relatively small and your 757 should have more than enough power for your use. Keep in mind that at a comfortably loud average listening level your RTi10s will be using about 1 watt and that even brief peaks aren't likely to use more than 100 watts, most likely less, in your room.

Very nice setup. The Yammies power is 100w channel in marketing speak. If you drive your system at relatively loud listening levels, you won't be doing the RTi10's justice and the Yamaha HTR will run hotter than it needs to. I have the HTR-5790 (same as the RXV-1400). No problem starting out using just your receiver, however I would recommend getting a separate amp for your RTi10's at some point. The CSi5 would eventually benefit from some additonal power also. The Yamaha HTR has a very good pre/processor in it, it's amplifier section is a little weaker as far as capabilities.

FWIW, I used to use an RXV540 rated at 80 or 85wpc. I recently got the HK 335. There is no way the yammy is pushing 85wpc. Great receiver and all (yammy) seing as you have pre-outs you will want to take advantage of them. I plan on it.

The number of 2 channel amps you can buy is endless. How much money do you want to spend, & would you consider buying used?

You can get a Rotel 980BX (120 watts/ch) for about $275. There is one listed on Audiogon right now (no affiliation).

I know it is out of your range but there is also a Rotel 993 (3 ch @ 200 w/ch) listed on Audiogon for $450 and you can probably negotiate the price (no affiliation).
