Center match up: CSi25 with R30 and R15
Have R30 fronts and R15 rear speakers. Can I get CSi25 to match or does it have toi be CS1/2?

i think the csi25 does match those speakers anandrag. Either that or the csi25 matches the rt15i. Either way- it will sound fine. Better than the monitor centers.
welcome to the forums. -
outpost.com currently has csi25 on sale @ $99 + shipping.

My kid just picked one up for his R30s...I'll let you know how it sounds. BTW I haven't heard any Polk center that wasn't close.

looks like some FRY's B&M stores (southern cal, Phoenix & Houston) have this CSI25 for $80. Wonder if these stores ship?
Any idea? -

Cool. I'll just go with these then instead of waiting and seeing deal disappear. Bought the R15s for $39 + shipping. Now just need to wait for Outpost to put R30s or R50s on sale for my fronts... -
If you want R50s, it's probably ebay or even here on the Flea Market (they don't come up for sale much). I haven't seen them in awhile and wonder if they're no longer in production.
I would think the CSi25 is the right match...same drivers and tweet as the R15s. The CS1 sounds great as well.

The cs1 recommendation on the polk site for the r15 is only because they discontinued the centers for the r15 line and had to recommend something they actually still sell. So the cs1 would not be a timbre match eventhough polk recommends it.
The csi25 is the way to go. It's actually similar to the discontinued csi20 but with two midrange drivers instead of one. Polk doesn't "officially" sell the csi25 in the US market, that's why it isn't listed on the site. And these once in a while frys sales are the only place I've seen where you can get them new. So it's smart to snap it up while you can.
Geez, considering the rarity of this center, I'm amazed that I've read all these threads that are relevant to it in the past day. I think I've made three posts on this subject on three different threads.
Have fun with the csi25, it's supposed to have a much fuller midrange than the csi20 'cause of the extra driver. -
The csm is also timber matched to the R series, I use them with R50 mains, and R30 rears and they all use the same 3/4" silk tweeter. The csm has dual 5 1/4" drivers but are finished with a silver finish.

Per my son it's an awesome match...very nice center...FWIW.

I guess that I am not the only one that watches outpost.com's sales. I logged in to get answers to this very same questions. This is an pretty nice convenience.....I am going to order mine right now.

I have the Csi25 on my Family Room HT with R50 front/R30 rears and in my bedroom HT I have the CSi20 with R30 fronts and R15 Rears. There is definitely more midrange punch with the 25 vs. the 20. Male voices sound more natural.
