Try out Electronluv. The founder thought tubes were a thing of beauty and shoving them into black boxes was boring........

I remember his stuff; was mentioned some time last year. Different for sure, and most of it is pretty beautiful.
Anybody know about how it sounds/performs?George Grand wrote: »

Yuck. Way over the top with form over function. Gimme tubes in a black box any day. Simple can be simply beautiful. Besides, the black box is easier aesthetically to place in virtually any room and matches most of one's components.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

Yeah, they aren't made for just any room. The buyers of this type stuff will have their "special room" that fits the design. More "art" than function. Here is a couple monoblocks that look like they come right out of Captain Nemo's sub.HT Optoma HD25 LV on 80" DIY Screen, Anthem MRX 300 Receiver, Pioneer Elite BDP 51FD Polk CS350LS, Polk SDA1C, Polk FX300, Polk RT55, Dual EBS Adire Shiva 320watt tuned to 17hz, ICs-DIY Twisted Prs, Speaker-Raymond Cable

I would hope they sound beautiful. Definately artistic statements. Not to mention those fifty watts monos they build go for a $1100 a watt.

For that kind of money, they damn well better work. In fact, they need to take my place on the job a day or two...

I guess I won't be placing my order any time soon.
And not just the expense part of it either... they're just too artsie, fartsie ugly to my eyes! -
I really don't like these at all. The first pics, to me at least, look like a glorified toaster and turkey roaster. Has that high end appliance look to it... I'll stick to more common specimens.
madmaxVinyl, the final frontier...
Avantgarde horns, 300b tubes, thats the kinda crap I want... -

Very different that's for sure. I don't find them beautiful though. I prefer a classy and plain box. I do love having the tubes exposed if the chassis goes with it. I like my amp with and without the cage.
Russ,
IMO, your mono blocks look waaaay cooler than the amps posted above!
