I really like the Fiber series amps. Especially the 400.4. I'm thinking of getting one to try out in the truck to bi amp my MMC6500's.

My question is this: Since they had the foresight to design an optimal amp for what was their flagship series, will they do the same for the Reference Series?

I mean something designed with driving these beauties in mind? I know the crossover is a work of beauty, but wouldn't source filtration be more desirable?

Just a thought. Any other opinions?

Not sure what you mean by source filtration.

The 400.4 would be a perfect choice for the new SR's. It makes about 90 watts per channel cleanly and has a top notch crossover and other features. Tack on its excellent build quality and what more could ya ask?

I will ultimately wind up with one of these and a 300.2 for my sub but thats a ways down the road.

Using the crossovers in the amps = same same.

I think you are right, they probably are VERY good choices. Bi amping w/ 75 WPC would effectively give them 150 WPC. But are the crossovers designed for them in mind and set for the right frequencies?

The 400.4 was originally designed to work with the Mighty MM6 (dollar for dollar the best speaker in the world) but works just as well with the new gen Momo components.

The Signature Reference series comes with an excellent crossover that is presicely designed to get the best performance out of the SR's so I always suggest sticking with it. But if you want to experiment with different crossover settings you can absolutely use the ones on the 400.4. Just be careful with the tweeter and dont dip below 3500!
