ok - we all have favorites... greatest hits and top ten songs of our lives... some of my coolest mixed cds are my buddies because we like similar stuff ...but not the same stuff. Anyone interested in cd swap of greatest hits music? <and i guess i should say is this legal?> just a thought anyway... i couldn't put it together for a couple weeks myself till i get home but it might expose us all to some different types of music.

That would be a pretty cool idea. With what the internet can offer it may not be as valuable, but then again it could still be beneficial to a few.

I agree the internet provides a lot of options but it's nice to have a starting place of great songs someone else has already selected, then you can expand into anything on the disc you may like but have not previously listened to...?

I agree; I think it would be neat. But due to the lack of responses, I'm obviously the only one. :p

Mix Tapes? There are still large masses of people who still do this. It's not just what you put on them, it's how you arange them as well.

funny thats very true. the order and type of song can really make the collection great or average.

I tell you what. I have a "demo" CD I'll swap. No MP3. Straight audio files. I use it any time I go to demo gear. It's stuff I like, very well recorded, lot's of dynamic range, great musical bass, male voices, female voices, etc..to give gear/speakers a workout. It's on my hard drive so it's easy to burn a copy. I often get comments from the sales guys as to the quality of the music on the disk. All rock and R&B...no country, jazz, classical, rap or metal. Any takers?

I wasn't quite diggin the mix tape thing but I really do like your idea Steve. Demo disc swapping would be cool.

This could be much easier to spread and cost nothing if someone had an ftp server where we could just load stuff onto and then people can just download what they choose to. Maybe I'll see if I can get one running...

    I'll swap sample/demo CDs. I won't download files to a server.

Alright, not a big deal. I'll see if I can make a nice cd to add to the ones offered.
