More than one sub?

Can I hook two subwoofers up to my system? I have my single sub hooked to the left and right main speaker terminals and the speakers hooked to the subwoofer. Can I hook a single subwoofer to the left and the right main speaker terminals and then a left and right main speaker to the terminals on the subwoofers? I would appreciate any information on this subject. Thank you.

why noy one sub on each speaker?
    Dodd - Battery Preamp
Monarchy Audio SE100 Delux - mono power amps
    Sony DVP-NS999ES - SACD player
    ADS 1230 - Polk SDA 2B
DIY Stereo Subwoofer towers w/(4) 12 drivers each
    Crown K1 - Subwoofer amp
    Outlaw ICBM - crossover
    Beringher BFD - sub eq

Where is the remote? Where is the $%#$% remote!

I sure it could work. I was thinking if he had a sub out and used a splitter for the two he could stack or one on each side. Otherwise I do't see why he couldn't hook one sub to each speaker using speaker cable.

Wouldn't a second sub on sub-out be used for LFE
