I am in need of some nice Computer Speakers. I'm cheap so under 300$ but a good all-around speaker. They need good Bass Midrange and Treble. They do not have to be Polk-I really want to venture into some other brands but I'm not completely sure where I want to go. Amplification is not a problem (I have an older 165 wpc RCV just sitting here). would it be worth my money or should I just upgrade my RT5s to some LSI7s and then put the RTs on comp duty?

i''ll agree with your idea ledhed.

Whats the speaker for? all aroudn but I bought mine for mainly gaming duty

I didn't have room to lug a sub around or anywhere to put it especially in my room.

I got the energy c-3's and I love them 300 at audioadvisor..great deal to me. had the sound and extension out of a bookshelf.

There are a lot of great options in that price range especially for near field listening.

I mainly do Video Editing on my comp but, It also serves as my jukebox here when I don't have time for a true listen to the main Rig

I have some nice Altec Lansings but, they sound like crap to me-I got spoiled by having my rig connected to my comp

All multimedia speakers will sound like crap if you compare to your main rig... it's no contest. The best thing to do is to buy some RTi4 or perhaps the R15 and set is as your computer speakers. If you buy the LSi7/9, you can move the RT5 to the 'puter.

Go with real speakers or dont go at all, is what I say.
