I was wondering if anyone would get it.

I got lucky. I saw that cover art about a week ago while sorting through several hundred CD's and albums at a local music store that closed after 30 years in business. The art and band name was unique enough for me to remember.

Off the road again, so name this....shouldn't be hard; might be too easy for some. It's not that obscure of a group.

Look to a neighboring country for this Beatlesque group. This was their fifth album released in 1981, but it was not released in the US until 1995.

    CLUE:

Album was recorded in the mid 80's, several years before their self titled debut album was released. The record company that originally signed them shelved the album. The album was finally released in 2005.

LOL That band spanned nearly a decade.

OK, due to the last couple of difficult ones, and due to the fact there haven't been many views, I'll change it to something with greater exposure.

    EDIT: Done.

    Thats is correct, Captain Beyond.

I missed a decade of obscure or off the beaten path music chasing a career so I am mostly familiar with 70's groups. After the D & D comment, I switched from the '72 album to a '81 album cover and a group that had more than three albums.

The latter group has 14 album releases from '71 to '05, along with 8 compilation albums. They take their name from a type of pet bird found in folks homes.
