If you've heard about the coal mine incident in WV, there's definitely news. At 12 am this morning, great news! 12 of the 13 miners survived!! Oh wait, fast forward to 3am and Mister *about to get worked with a pair of pliers and blowtorch* News Branch, I don't know which yet, was wrong! That's right, only 1 of the 12, thought to be alive had survived..........................................................................................

After all those people had rejoiced, and had pictures of them rejoicing taken.. were given the unsuspected and sickeningly twisted news.

SOMEONE..will pay..and it might not only be money.

Words have no recognition of this travesty. It's beyond the sounds of any language our mouths permit.

This is just hell for those related and befriended..just hell.

It was a horrible situation and the media only made it worse... they seem to have a knack for doing that. The guy that typed out the teleprompter script thingy probably hit the 1 and 2 key without noticing it?

My thoughts will be with the families...

I'm sure more details about how the hell that hapenned will come out.

Its probably the rush to be first with a story, especially one this big, just made them oblivious to the fact they should check things out before you report it.

I hate mainstream media.
The news is biased toward their agenda and their rush to not get "scooped" clouds their vision.

Does anyone really care where the news came from first?
I sure don't, I just want it to be accurate and not skewed one way or the other.

On the news this morning they said the word got twisted when a rescue worker said "we got them" and the guy on the outside thought they meant "alive". OK, I can half way understand this because "we got them" sounds positive. It should have been confirmed though.

Now, the media. I didn't watch it all evening but my friend states that they were saying such things as "the choppers were sent back because they were in better condition than expected" and "they were in good condition" and other such things (obviously made up in someones mind) which made it seem as if they knew what the reality of the moment was. That is just poor reporting whether they made up statements to seize the moment or even if it was given by unreliable sources. I heard later that they stated the info was given by cell phone users. Not a reasonable source in my opinion, at least not without stating that fact while reporting. Bad deal all around.

Absolutely a **** situation, without a doubt, but the reality was that they were already gone......it's a miracle that the one guy survived.
