You know, I would have ZERO issues with not having to go to work. I loaf EXTREMELY well. Plus, I got plenty of stuff around the house to ignore doing.

I'm federal too, and barring a buyout real soon, I have no plans to go past 55. I turned 53 in Nov. When that time comes, no matter who is in the doorway, they're going down. Size 8 footprints all over one side of their body. In between the exit door and my car will be a trail of flight suit, hat, boots, jacket, and all the other **** I've had to carry on me for the past 30 years. Drive out the gate bareass if I have to.

I'll be eligible for a full fed retirement at 55, and a sizeable military retirement at age 60. My wife, the former Theresa Talamonti, is considerably younger than I, and will have to work for Fox Chase for awhile longer, which is exactly what she deserves. So maybe between 55 and 60 I'll get something laid back and a little less stressful than refueling people at 500 freakin' miles an hour. I'm too old for this ****.

Now THAT is a retirement ceremony that I will NOT miss under any circumstance. Period. Wendi says she's already got George's gift. No idea what it is nor has she been shopping. Who knows.

Wow... all this talk of retirement makes me feel really freakin young. I still have my whole working life ahead of me (and 4 more years of university).

Congratulations on your retirement, and hopefully you will have a lot of fun pursuing things you didn't have time for before. My dads friend recently retired and hes been busier than ever fixing up an old motorcycle, reading, drinking... just... everything he liked to do. I really hope you enjoy your free time.
