Where can I find a set-up DVD locally? And is it really as easy as just a few minutes to get things calibrated? Works for your sub too? I have already purchased a RadShak slp.. Just need a disk..

A calibration disc is not manditory. Your test tones from your receiver/preamp will be more than adequate. If you really want the AVIA disc, yellow pages. Call your local A/V stores or the places where you get your CD/DVD's.

FYI, The Sound & Vision Magazine Home Theater Tune-Up DVD is also produced by OVATION, they make the AVIA Disc.

You can use a bitcomet torrent client from bitcomet.com to download the AVIA disc torrent at torrentspy.com. Not that I would condone such activity and nor would I ever do it myself *wink* Then you can burn it with a DVD burner if you have one.

Amazon sells it and ships quickly. That's where I got mine. I would recommend setting everything to 75db for home use. Don't worry about what the receiver volume control says, just adjust the different levels to match.
For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

This is great until you try to calibrate the TV without the filters. If you are going to calibrate speakers only then you'll be fine.
I prefer the test tones in Avia but I don't like the hosts. I like VE , I find it a bit easier to navigate.
