No way you can spring for something like the RTi4? If you could, that would be GREAT!
I would go R15 over the M10 myself. The Infinity, I'm not sure where i would rate that.
But, the RTi4 is THE WAY to go... real wood veneer and a solid woofer + soft tweeter combo.
I assume you'll be using this with your computer.Magico M2, JL113v2x2, EMM, ARC Ref 10 Line, ARC Ref 10 Phono, VPIx2, Lyra Etna, Airtight Opus1, Boulder, AQ Wel&Wild, SRA Scuttle Rack, BlueSound+LPS, Thorens 124DD+124SPU, Sennheiser, Metaxas R2R -
what is the difference between the M10 and the R15 besides color?

To use as some temp fill in speakers: R15 delivered today for 39.oo + 13.oo for shipping.
I can believe how they sound for the money. I may wait a while for the LSiFX's. These are more capable than I ever expected.
I say R15's

primus 150 is a nicer speaker than the r15/m10 imo, especially for classical music at moderate level listening.

I almost snagged a pair of M10s before i got the Monitor30s instead (im glad i got them! M10s were no slouch though! especially for the price)KEF Q150 | Rythmik F12 | Yamaha Aventage RX-A780 -
I know this is way too late to be helpful but I second the motion about the Primus being a tad better than the R15 or M series. They are still all good values though.-Stopher

For 40 dollars? I could roll the change in my car cup-holder, buy a pair, and still buy a coffee. . .and feed the meter. .

What sound do you like, laid back with plenty mid-range, deep bass extension with the expense of a bit of accuracy.....? If so, M10 or R15...
If you like it detailed (some may say, bright), lean mid-range but with more control in the bass regions... the Primus will be your best bet.
There ya go..
If the midrange is lean and the Hfreq is bright in the Primus, why is there an expense in accuracy to the R15?
-Ignorance is strength - -

The only difference is the silver fascade, the grill, and the price -- R15's can be found for half of what you would pay for the M10s. -
Zero, I'm not debating the characteristics of Polk vs Infinity, just stressing the pricepoint. I don't think anyone expects any choice in this price range to be listened to critically, just sound good. I prefer value, and on some things, I'll compromise. I think the original question was for a speaker suggestion for under 120.oo, and the R15 (53.oo shipped) was included in his options. I was just giving an outlet which I myself used to fullfil a quick cheap speaker fill-in that sounds surprisingly good. For all intents and purposes that is.. .. .. .-Ignorance is strength -

I'm a polk guy through and through, though the Infinity looks tempting here especially used as cheap surrounds over the R15s. (I already have RT20s on another stereo that I use for audio editing.) I'm thinking of using these in a surround setup in the bedroom. I may use a pair of classic Monitor 6 (or 4 can't remember non-peerless) up front that I found at Salvation Army and have these in the back. Or perhaps four of these around the bedroom. Don't know yet. (Is it bad form to use classic polks in surround systems?)
I thought that for my cheap surround setup I'd want less bass out of the speakers and more detail, especially in the back which would seem to point more to the Infinity speakers. What are your thoughts?
I'm also somewhat tempted to go with Athena, because I can get (sort-of) wholesale pricing on them and they're already a good deal though still not this cheap. Probably at least get the 10" Athena sub.
