Mounting depth problem

I am looking for a pair of good 6 x 9's to go with mmc 690's. I have a depth mounting problem in the doors and can not fit two more 690's . Any ideas on what brand i should use in the doors? I have 3 inches max depth. Thanks

You could fit the mmc690's in your doors. But you will need to remove the magnet cover to save some space. If that don't free up enough space. You will need to use a spacer between the mmc690's. The bottom mount depth on the mmc690's is only 3 3/8 inch's. So you only have to free up 3/8 of a inch. Removing the magnet cover should fix that.

Cool, Thanks for the removing the cover tip. I will just need a small spacer!

You can pick up spacers at any local car audio shop or you can make your own.
Just run down to your local Home Depot (go #20!) and pick up some 1/4" or 1/2" plywood and cut out what you need. This will be more vibration resistant than a plastic adapter and cheaper. You can also go the extra mile by slapping some dynamat over it to make it an even better baffle.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005
