speaker connection question

Hi everyone, Is the small lug on the speaker positive? I know it is a dumb question :) . any help? Thanks

    Nope. The smallest one is negative.

    You want to keep all the positives running to the positives. After you get everything hooked up you can mess with the tweeters polarity if theyre not blending well or whatever but 99.9% of the time youll get your best results with everything in phase.

    If you want to see if the polarity of a speaker really matters. Take one of your subs and reverse the polarity and come back and tell me if you could tell a difference.

    That will cause cancellation in the sub and midbass frequencies but not so much in the higher ones.

    It can be used to cure imaging and other SQ problems if used right.

    Still, its best to keep everything in phase.
