I got a new LFM-1, I was fairly happy with my PSW350 but moved and have a much bigger room now and decided to go with an LFM-1. I thought I could really slip it by my wife, -put in the corner desiguised with a tree etc.. But the 30' cable didn't come and won't until Tues. So I let my anxioty get the best of me I opened it and traded it out with the PSW350, right in plain sight, mind you this isn't an SVS but it's still 3x bigger than the PSW350.. Made it about 12 hrs. until what is "THAT".. "Ah new subwoofer", she wasn't too impressed.. To make matters worse, -rather than watching a movie with her she went to bed extra early that night and I listeded to my system as loud as ever with the LFM-1 not calibtaed yet and I'll tell you.. If my room was closed off a bit -it would have sucked it inside out (Matrix Reloaded).. After a couple of hours she came down saying "that was the most horrific sound she has ever heard and that she was nearly shock waved off the bed).. Not good for me, our bedroom is right above the HT room.. The LFM-1 is much different than the Polk350, insted of a "thunk" it's a BOooOM... I'm getting used to that.. The bass is natural sounding I would say, -watched a DVD with Andrew Lloyd Webber B-day celebration and a guy was playing deep piano tones and it sounded real, not like a consert, but a real piano. The bass lightly went through me as if I was right in front of it and I about wept.. Nice..! The only thing that seems to be missing is that pop or thunk like I said I was used to. If the PSW350 would have played a little lower and louder I would have kept it. Years ago when I was a teen I ran (in my car) 4-8's Plus a couple 12's to get that Boom across town and the 8's for the punch... Anyone ever run two size subs? I went from a 10" to a 12"/with power.. Wow, can't wait to play with this thing more, calibrated of coarse, and when my wife is up.. Should have waited until I got the cable I still think I would have got away with it.. :)

No problem. The next DVD you play make sure it's something she likes, even one of those girlie movies that doesn't have much bass. Or play her favorite CD. She may not admit it, but she'll quickly learn to appreciate the new sub.
HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50” LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub
