Yeah...it is really amazing; if you just pick a symbol at random it won't work...but if you follow the instructions and do the math, they get me every time; this is awesome.....

Freaky, but not really. I'll let Bob disclose the secret when he's ready.

    Math is a freaky thing.

    Ok, Ok,

A "yawn" and one "it's cute'.... party poopers :p

The solution to their little formula will always be a multiple of 9. In their example using 23: 2+3=5 ; 23-5=18. If you use 35: 3+5=8 ; 35-8=27. et cetera.

Now look at their chart. All the multiples of 9 (up to 81) have the same symbol. The symbol will change each time you play the game, but each multiple of 9 (up to 81) will always have the same symbol, whichever symbol they randomly choose. The solution will never be more than 81 because you are using two-digit numbers

You should have held off until 2006 before you provided the answer

Neat little puzzle to kill sometime before New Years celebration. I may recall this thread tonight at the party and make it into a drinking game.
