I love my avr 430. It's rated at only 65 watts x 7, but you'd never guess it. I've pushed this thing hard a few times and it has never run out of power. I bet the 635 kicks all kinds of ****. One thing, though. Keep an eye on prices at Circuit City. I bought my avr 330 at CC for $500, and a couple of weeks later, another CC had it for $100 less. The sucky thing about it though was that I bought it open box and they don't do prices matches on open box items, so I had to exchange the receivers in order to get it for $400. The cheaper receiver was actually in better condition and came with the manual. The other did not. My avr 430 was only $375, brand new. I really lucked out on that one.
How'd you fix the OSD problem, btw? -
I'll say it here too. It will drive the LSi series quite nicely.
Love it. I believe the OSD works only on VID 1-Ignorance is strength - -
I have the HK635 and a nice treat about this unit is it can put out the OSD through the component video because that is all I have it hooked to the TV with. It upgrades all sources to component. Last but not least it is better than the 7300 in one respect.... The EX setup compensates itself to your room which is not available on the 7300 nor will it ever be for upgrades. Only the ones that end in XX5 have this feature. So if your running a 630 for instance it will not compensate to the room on its own. I think mine sounds so good that I seriously would never look at getting another one for at least 6 years maby longer just because it is so capable and adjustable...It literally does everything I had ever wanted in a receiver.Harman Kardon AVR635

Yes, Drew you are correct. The 630 doesn't line double/(upconvert), but the PS section is the same as the 7300, where as the 635 gets a lesser version, a tweak on the EX and a 5% better Signal to noise ratio I believe.-Ignorance is strength -
