I am trying to decide between the following three speaker systems & and a Bookshelf System

RM30 - 1,739.00
RM20 - 1,149.00
RM6900 - 799.00

Does anyone have any thoughts on the system that they would go with? The RM20 is right in my price range, but is it that much better than the 6900? To see the most improvement should I just to the RM30? I will be watching 60% Sports, Movies & TV, 30% Music, 10% Xbox.

Here is another idea...

I could get the following BookShelf System and wouldn't be that upset about having a larger system... WOuld this be dramatically better in sound than the other systems?

Pair RXi5 Surround
Pair RTi6 Front
Single CSi5 Center
PSW303 Sub

Total 1,379.97

The room I have is 18 X 18 and has a 20 foot ceiling. Let me know what think!

Polk LSi9 fronts and you will just smile while waiting for the funds to buy the rest of your system. You can get them around 600 on the 'bay. They don't take up much space, you can stand em or shelve em, and they don't sound bad in close quarters (nearfield). Grab the ebony ones...god they are sexy
Just make sure you can drive them. High current or low impedance capability.

    Hi,

I know this is not the place to offer to sell a speaker system, but I was reading your post and wanted to let you know that I have the Polk RM-7300V system that I am going to list on ebay. I am asking $350 + shipping.

Here is a link to view the system from Polk's web site.

    Thanks,

    John

Damn, I thought this was the current RM7300 system! That would have been a great price, and would be on wall! :p

I have ordered the RM20 System as we listed to the RM6900 system 2 weekends ago. We were really impressed with the sound. We compared it against Bookshelf, floor standing, and Bose. This system kicked the Bose 16 out the door. My wife prefered the RM20 over the "look" of the bookshelf system and with the $200.00 discount on the RM20 I couldn't pass it up. Now I am looking for a reciever, but I am leaning towards the Yamaha 5860. What does everyone think? I can get it for 337.00 on ebay or 350.00 online from Digitalmegastore.com. I think I will start a new thread for that topic and post the link here.

Please let us know what you think of when you get it all set up. AVSforum.com has lots of people that have spoken very highly of the Panasonic X55 receiver, it is very inexpensive and has a digital amplifier, true digitial, and gets very good reviews. And it is available in silver or black, and is only $225! Give it a thought anyway. People are putting it up against receivers costing 4 times as much, and many feel this one is better. I am considering one to upgrade to 7.1 surround.

Thanks for the info on the Panasonic. I will take a look at that one. At this point I am looking to save the money, so that might be a good one.

I like what I see in the manual, now if I could just find it locally! I might just have to order online, but I think I am going to go with this one.

You should really read up on it on avsforum.com, they have side by side comparisons with recievers costing 4 times as much. It really isn't anything to look at, but a GREAT performing reciever it sounds like!

I have a the RM20s with a PSW 10 sub and for the money the sound is really nice. Watched "I am Legend" and they sound amazing. Listened to some music today in stereo mode as well as CSii Surround and they pumped it out good. The system IMO works very well for the money you pay. Will they knock the glass of the table? No, but close! :) Good luck with your choices.
