CC has CSM center channel for $90. I am waiting for FRY/outpost to put some center channels (csi25 or cs1 or cs2) on sale.

Is CSM center channel a good match for R30s and R15s?

Thanks,

How does the CSM compare to the CS1 or CS2. I also just picked up 4 R30s and need a new center. I have read enough about the CS1 and CS2 and listened to the two at CC that I am leaning towards the CS2. Just waiting for a sale on it.

I think my center was the weakpoint in my old setup (JBL NSP1 - 4 N24 and 1 N-CENTER) so I am willing to shell out just as much for the CS2 as the 4 R30s cost me. But at $90, how much am I giving up with the CSM.

I just bought the csm from cc to go along with my R50 mains, R30 rears, and psw150. They appear to have the same 3/4" silk tweeter and is a good timbre match. Good seemless treble throughout my system. However, I think the larger 1" tweeter in the cs1 or cs2 might make the center sound louder/brighter which imho nice for the center, I max out the center volume on my onkyo. At 1/2 the price through, it works well with the R series and a improvement over my R15 i was using as a center.
