Here is a special tool used to compress and secure the hydraulically activated belt tensioner on a TOYOTA. This tool presses off of a neighboring water pump pully. It expands as you rotate the 17mm nut. When fully compressed you can place the locking pin into the hydraulic piston push rod. This tool is Applicable: Engine 3.4L, V-6 engine (5VZ-FE) 1995 and up. A very handy item made in Hungary by Sir Tools. $30 pls shpng,or I'll meet ya somewhere if your close, this tool is new and unused

Probably don't sound worth a crap without some expensive speaker cables, though...

No, they're much more efficient than that. You only really need about 20 push-pull tube wpc. :p:D

Not really...I've seen some non audio related things being sold here... maybe this one has a very small demand...

    BTW...is the original interconnect included???

Heck,as many Toyota's is on the road I figured someone could use it,its brand new, never used,I bought a couple months ago because it was getting time to replace the cam belt on my T100,last time I didnt have this and it was a bit of a job removing the whole tensioner...quite a pain, anywho,my wife bought me a nice used Tacoma which has a cam chain so I dont really need it,and Im selling it $15 less than I paid,I put it here to give my buddy's a deal... :)

I like my new to me 1999 Toyota 4Runner limited, it replaced my old 1992 Honda Accord with 196k miles on to my budding future mechanic he 15 doesn't even have a license yet. Since this is my first Toyota with 91k on it / prior owner had Timing belt replaced at 60k / the owners book say change at 90k so I think I have 60k to go on this one.

So 60k miles to go I'm iffy on buying that tool even at $30 plus shipping say $35, but with time I may or may not need the tool. Not trying to be cheap so sorry $35 seems to me a little high considering I may not own this 4Runner when I need it. God for bid but it could get into a bad accident / or worst stolen.

So I think I need to pass at this time.
