I am sure , with xmas just passed, we might get lots of new members. I was out at the boxing day sale at Future shop, they had a room filled with r30 and r15. With in 30 mins they were all gone. Prices where good, 149$ CAD for the r30s and 79 for the r15.

For anyone who has been around for a while, is this how it happens? do we get a big increase of new members around xmas?

At that price I was tempted to pick some up, I had my eyes on other stuff.

    why do they discount the entry level R line. and hardly ever discount any other lines?

    why not knock off 5% off every Polk Audio speaker to generate some sales? it's not much and people might just buy more speakers that way.

    They do offer discounts on Polk's higher end stuff a couple times a year. They usually allow retailers to take 10% off for a couple of months or they offer the free subwoofer(or $200 off $500 or more) at other times.

    In my area, price is not as much of a problem, but availability is. CC is the only Polk retailer. There are a couple of us that sell Polk as custom installers, but we don't reach a large part of the market, so availability is still limited.

    the R was entry level and an older line. If there still in stock, theyre getting heavily discounted. the formula is just there.

    different from discounting current in production stock.
