Hi all- I want to upgrade my 6xRTi4 speakers w/CSi3 center surround system to a Lsi speaker system, and following a lot of good advice on this forum, start bassackward by ordering a new amp. My budget is sort of fixed at $2000 for the new amp, and I want to use my Denon 3805 as a pre/pro. Since there is no way I can compare the the new Outlaw 7700 w/ the Emo MPS-1, and Lsi speakers I don't own, I will really appreaciate any comments/ suggestions. Thanks!

Welcome to club Polk!
Outlaw is a good company & makes great amps. Your speakers will be happy & most assuredly your Denon will be as well! You will even notice an improvement with your current speakers being powered by the Outlaw.Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2 -
thats a tough spot, no matter what amp you pick, you dont know how it sounds with the speakers. I dont know EMO, so I would have to go with the Outlaw if I were in your shoes. Cant go wrong with it. Great products, good customer service. I have one of there pre pro's and love it.
either way, with that seperate amplification and LSi's all around? you aint going wrong either way for the most part. Thats going to be a significant step up from your current set upLiving Room 2 Channel -

Hi cfrizz. ohskigod, and mlhm5- Thanks for your comments and suggestions. I checked Outlaws web site and their new 7700 amp still isn't available. av123 has just changed their pricing for the Emotiva MPS-1 amp to allow purchasing the 7 slot main amp chassis with as few as 2 amp modules or as many as 7. Individual modules can be ordered as needed to expand the system. audioholics has a review of the MPS-1 that was very favorable but raised some issues with the max power rating. I think that this may be a sign from above for me to pay the Christmas bills first and postpone my amp purchase for a month or so. Thanks again!
