Well got the chance to meet a couple of forum members today. SCompRacer and Normanality. Also got the chance to hear SComp's SDA 2's (or srs 2's or signature 2's or something like that.) hooked up to his new tube amp and tube pre. Sounded great. I also got a chance to hear a SVS box sub with the LSi inwall speakers in his home theater area.
Best part of all was I got to purchase Norm's Lsi15's (in mint condition I might add).
When I got home, I am sorry to report that our great dane had to go to the vet and be put down. It has had issues with seizures its entire short life (only 3 years old) and its recent issues with them had left it paralyzed and blind. Even though my wife and I knew it was the correct thing to do, it was very hard and Sigfried will be missed greatly.
For now I will have to concentrate on getting the house recovered from Christmas, but expect a LSi7 vs LSi15 shootout in the near future. (for front channel use in a HT setting both crossed over to an SVS sub at 80hz)
Anyway - it was great meeting both of you and listening to your gear. I hope if either of you make it down in this area some time you give me the opportunity to play host.
Michael

Hi Michael,
It was very nice meeting you and spending some time listening to music and
sharing information. I'm saddened to hear of your loss there. It must be very
difficult for you and your whole family.
Next time you are up this way visiting your relatives, let me know and you
can come this way and experience the Carver ribbons on a tube setup.
Take care,
Norm -
Congrats on your speakers.

Sorry to hear about your bitter-sweet day. I had to put a dog down a few years ago and I haven't had a pet since. It was extremely difficult, so I know how you are feeling. It's always for the best, but still hard to cope with.
H9"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass Pass Labs XA25 | EE Avant Pre | EE Mini Max Supreme DAC | MIT Shotgun S1 | Pangea AC14SE MKII | Legend L600 | BlueSound Node 3 - Tubes add soul! -
I am sorry to hear about Sigfried Michael. Even though it's the right thing to do, I know how hard it is. This time of year makes it even worse. It must be an extremely difficult time for your children, along with you and your wife.
It was great meeting and having you here, listening to tunes and sharing info. Enjoy them 15's.
