Connection types and proper grounding

I have a 4x80 watt amp for the speakers (5.25" MMC components & 6.5" MMC 2 ways) and a 310 watt for the woofer (MM 2104).
First, where connections must be made should I use high quality crimps or solder? This is on a Jeep Wrangler that sees regular very serious and jarring trail use. Think very big rocks.
Second, how should I ground the amps - to the body or to the frame. It would be MUCH easier to ground to body. I know that the body and frame are grounded together at some point. For water intrusion, mud, body flex, and extreme space constraints (I'll probably need to drop the gas tank to get the most direct and out of the way grounding to frame)it would be easier to mount to the body.
Thanks for your thoughts and help.
